About the role

This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Clinical Standards and Quality,CCSQ, Survey and Operations Group (SOG).

As a Senior IT Specialist (Robotic Process Automation and AI), GS-2210-15, you will report directly to the SOG Leadership and provide highly complex analysis, project management, and program direction for all Divisions within the Group.

  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Survey and Operations Group's automation strategy, ensuring seamless integration with national reporting systems.
  • Design and manage large-scale automation studies, applying advanced data analysis techniques to interpret and evaluate complex Medicare and Medicaid datasets.
  • Develop policy recommendations and guidelines, analyze legislative proposals, and draft formal responses to reports impacting CMS survey and enforcement processes.
  • Coordinate and represent the Group in activities with CMS components, Congress, and health organizations, negotiating among diverse stakeholders to achieve consensus.
  • Manage large-scale projects by organizing cross-functional collaboration across CMS, government units, and advisory committees, ensuring alignment with agency policy and program goals
