By using GovHealthJobs you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. They apply to everyone — visitors browsing listings and account holders alike.

What this service is

GovHealthJobs is a privately operated information service. It indexes publicly available and licensed job listings, compiles published public-sector salary records, summarises state licensing requirements, and explains federal hiring mechanics.

It is not a government body, agency, or official service, and it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of the federal government, the Office of Personnel Management, USAJOBS, the Department of Veterans Affairs, any state or local government, any nursing or licensing board, or any hospital system. Nothing here is an official communication from any of them. We are not an employer, an employment agency, or a recruiter, and we take no part in any hiring decision.

Listings and applications

Job listings are reproduced from their sources and provided as-is. We do not create the postings, verify the claims in them, or vouch for the employer. A listing appearing here is not an offer of employment or a guarantee that a job is still open.

Applications are made on the official employer or agency website, never on GovHealthJobs. We do not accept applications, collect or upload CVs or résumés, or forward anything to an employer. Once you follow an application link you are on a third-party site governed by its own terms and privacy policy, and we are not responsible for it or for what happens there.

If you are an employer or source operator and want your postings removed from the index, contact us and we will remove them.

Accuracy and verification dates

We attach a source and a verification date to the figures we publish, and we re-check content on a schedule. That is a statement about process, not a warranty of accuracy. Salary records, licensing requirements, closing dates and hiring rules change, sometimes without notice, and a record can be correct on the date it was verified and wrong today.

Always confirm anything that matters against the official source — the agency posting, the pay schedule, the licensing board — before you rely on it. Where this site and an official source disagree, the official source governs. Nothing on this site is legal, financial, immigration, or career advice.

Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account. Give accurate details when registering, and keep your email address current so reminders and security notices reach you. We may suspend or close an account that is being used to break these terms or to harm the service or its users. You can delete your account at any time.

Membership and billing

Searching and reading listings is free and does not require an account. Applying to listings, seeing the contact details a posting carries, and turning on email alerts require an account, and accounts are currently free — no payment details are collected and nothing is charged.

If you subscribed while membership was a paid product, no further renewal will be charged while it is free; you can review or cancel that subscription at any time through billing management in your account, which opens Stripe's own portal. If we introduce paid plans in future, these terms will be updated first, and a charge will never be introduced to an existing account without clear notice and your action.

Acceptable use

You may browse the site, search it, and use its content for your own job search or research. You may not:

Use any robot, spider, scraper, or other automated means to access, collect, or copy content from GovHealthJobs, or systematically extract listings, salary records, or licensing tables — whether or not the pages are reachable without an account. We hold ourselves to this standard with other people's sites, and we ask for the same.
Republish substantial portions of this site's content or datasets, or use them to build a competing product or service.
Attempt to interfere with the site's operation or security, circumvent rate limits or access controls, or place an unreasonable load on the infrastructure.
Use the contact form, digests, or any other feature to send spam, harass anyone, or transmit malicious content.
Misrepresent yourself as GovHealthJobs, as affiliated with it, or as a government body when using the service.

If you want programmatic access to something on this site, ask. Refusing to answer is a worse outcome for everyone than an agreement neither of us has to enforce.

Intellectual property

The site's design, code, editorial content, guides, and the structure, selection and arrangement of its datasets are owned by GovHealthJobs and protected by intellectual property law. The GovHealthJobs name and logo may not be used without permission.

Job listings, salary releases and licensing requirements originate with the agencies, employers and public bodies that publish them; those rights remain with them, and we make no claim over the underlying facts. Government works that are in the public domain remain so. Short quotations with attribution and a link back are welcome; wholesale copying is not.

Availability

We aim to keep the service available and current, but it is provided without any guarantee of uptime, completeness, or continuity. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it, including individual sources, at any time — the coverage page records which sources are live, pending, or excluded and why.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GovHealthJobs is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of employment opportunity, earnings, license status, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the site or your reliance on anything published here — including a missed closing date, an out-of-date salary figure, an incorrect licensing requirement, or the conduct of a third-party employer or site. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the service, which for job seekers is nothing.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised version. Where a change materially affects account holders we will give notice by email before it takes effect.
