THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a SECURITY SPECIALIST (TRAINING SPECIALIST), Position Description Number D2161000 and is part of the HI 154 SFS, National Guard. LOCATION: 154th Security Forces Squadron, Hawaii Air National Guard, Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Hawaii

What you will do

  • The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the subject matter expert in managing the SF Squadron program to include Air Expeditionary Force (AEF) deployments, formal training programs, and readiness and emergency management.
  • Provides guidance and recommendations to the squadron commander on all aspects of SF programs for military personnel management, budget and management analysis, training, and training resources for drill-status personnel.
  • Reviews all operations, mobility, contingency, and exercise plans to ensure combat readiness for the SF Squadron.
  • Responsible for proper security, classification, and storage of classified documents.
  • Oversees the coordination, review, and implementation of SF manning authorizations and military personnel assignments.
  • Serves as the SF commander's key staff member responsible for the overall management of the unit-training program by overseeing the planning, organizing, directing, operating, and evaluating all unit training related items.
  • Serves as the subject matter expert and consultant to the unit commander on all matters pertaining to the availability and management of the SF training program to meet the needs of the organization and mission.
  • Develops, administers, and oversees the management of the unit's training programs to supervisors.
  • Directs the certification testing (CERTEST) program.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
