  • WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Works inside and outside; in inclement weather; on icy, wet, and slippery ramps and work stands; and in temperature and humidity extremes.

PUERTO RICO NATIONAL GUARD AIR TECHNICIAN VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT DUTY LOCATION: 156th Logistics Readiness Squadron, Muniz ANGB, Carolina, PR

What you will do

  • As a ORDNANCE EQUIPMENT MECHANIC (D2573000), WG-6641-10, you will provide munitions support to the state and designated agencies in support of their taskings.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS: There is frequent standing, bending, and working in tiring positions, although there is occasional sitting down at test consoles or workbenches.
  • It is required to lift, push or pull a variety of items weighing up to 100 pounds or heavier weights with assistance.
  • WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Works inside and outside; in inclement weather; on icy, wet, and slippery ramps and work stands; and in temperature and humidity extremes.
  • Subject to dangers from exposure to toxic fumes, high pressure air and fluids, fast actuating metal aircraft surfaces such as landing gears, speed brakes, engine noise, heat blast, intake suction; explosive munitions; chemical munitions, electrical voltage, cartridge actuating devices; liquid oxygen, fire or explosion of aircraft fuels, lubricants, paints and solvents.
  • Risk of cuts, bruises, scrapes, burns, respiratory irritation, explosions, and high voltage electrical shock.
  • Wear of safety-toed boots, hearing, and eye protection is required.

  • Official/Student transcript showing conferred degree (if applicable).
