Main duties

The primary purpose of this position is to provide developmental experience designed to broaden the skills and/or enhance the leadership perspective of an identified high potential candidate; it is not a continuing position and assignment duration is limited to 36 months.

- DUTY 3 Prepares and presents high-level briefings of conclusions, many being highly subjective and not readily susceptible to verification until actual operational situations are encountered.
- Prepares reports, responses to queries, justifications, and background papers on the technical aspects of areas of expertise and assignment.
- Represents the organization on working groups, steering groups, or other meetings, conferences, seminars, etc. DUTY 4 In a career broadening capacity, represents organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
- Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) staff, COCOMS, MAJCOMS, Joint Staff, Air Staff and other USG interagency officials.
- Meets with key customer and coordinating officials to assess customer satisfaction, explain organization policy and procedures, and resolve problems that arise.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Eligible applicants: Air Force Employee (Current Permanent Competitive Service Career/Career-Conditional Employee and Current Permanent AF DCIPS Employees with Reinstatement Rights to the Competitive Service) Area of Consideration is limited to current permanent internal Air Force employees with qualifying Operations experience; all other candidates will be outside the area of consideration.
