About the role

This position is located in the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Intelligence and Security (OUSW(I&S)), Office of the Director for Defense Intelligence, Warfighter Support (DDI(WS)).

The Under Secretary of War for Intelligence and Security (USW(I&S)) serves as the Principal Staff Assistant (PSA) and advisor to the Secretary of War (SecWar) regarding Intelligence, Counterintelligence (CI), Department of War (DoW)-wide Law Enforcement (LE) statue 10 USC 2672; and Security.

What you will do

  • This Position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C.

  • Participates as an expert representative in working groups, operational planning teams, and in table-top exercises to assess the economic impacts of decisions of the DoW during crisis and conflicts.
  • Responsible for formulating, coordinating, directing, reviewing, making recommendations, and approving various issues to guide development specialists with programs/projects design.
  • Analyzes and assesses reviews, studies, and other intelligence priority gaps and risks.
  • Coordinates with relevant stakeholders to develop a Department-wide strategic plan and implementation roadmap for Economic Competition to maximize leverage and advance U.S. interest while countering adversarial objectives through economic means.

What to expect next

After the evaluation is complete, you will receive another notification regarding the status of your application.

HR will initiate the drug test no later than 2 business days after the Tentative Job Offer is accepted.The selectee must sign a "Drug Test Statement of Understanding." A negative drug test result must be received by HR no later than 30 calendar days after the EOD.

Failure to pass the test or provide results in time may lead to the job offer being withdrawn or removal from Federal service.

Condition of Employment: Position is in the Excepted Service and is special sensitive. The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A Special Background Investigation (SBI) is required with favorable adjudication by a determining authority.
