About the role

About the Position: This position is located at Fort Lee, Virginia and works in the field of general dentistry including prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with disease, injuries, and deformities of the teeth, jaws, and other structures. The hours are 7:30AM - 4:30PM Eastern Time, Monday - Friday.

This is a Direct Hire Solicitation This is an open continuous announcement. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

What you will do

  • Treat common dental diseases or dental health problems requiring standard corrective, restorative or preventive measures such as single and multiple teeth extractions and restoration of simple and compound cavities.
  • Acquire mouth impressions of crowns, jackets, dentures and bridges and fit and insert the finished appliances.
  • Consult with and refer patients to other appropriate specialists.
  • Perform various preventive measures such as conducting extensive prophylaxis treatment, performing deep scaling and root planning.
  • Conduct group oral health counseling, tobacco cessation counseling, and diet counseling.
  • Submit performance data, dental records, consultation requests and other dental records in approved information management system.
