About the role

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 INDEFINITE EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT WORKER, Position Description Number D0487000 and is part of the CO Army Aviation Support Facility, National Guard. The purpose of the position is to assist a higher grade mechanic in accomplishing maintenance and repair of both fixed and rotary wing aircraft.

What you will do

• Accomplishes a variety of repairs on military aircraft.
• Assists a higher grade mechanic in completing more complicated and detailed repair work.
• Assists in performing functional checks and preventive maintenance on aircraft to include daily inspections, pre and post flight checks, fuel contamination checks, oil sampling, etc. May be required to perform such additional duties as fire fighting, aircraft crash/rescue, snow removal, etc. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Education cannot be substituted for Specialized Experience for this position.

Per ARNG-HRH Policy Memorandum #10-39, mandatory Full Time Staff (FTS) training is required within a year of hire as a condition of employment in vacancy announcements for both Technician and Active Guard Reserve positions.
