About the role

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position: Incumbent manages a large guard workforce responsible for installation access control and additional security missions to protect property and personnel from criminal or hostile threats.

What you will do

• Establishes performance standards and evaluates subordinate supervisors.
• Conducts meetings with subordinate supervisors and coordinates with union personnel to ensure the entire workforce conducts itself in harmony and with the objective of meeting the mission as its primary goal.
• Reviews standing operating procedures, special and general orders to ensure that they are current.
• Takes appropriate action to improve workflow, security, and services rendered.
• Develops and submits budget estimates essential to provide adequate support to conduct access control to the installation.
• Certifies time and attendance reports.
