About the role

About the Position: This position is for a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist with the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM), AMCOM Logistics Center, AMCOM Field Maintenance Directorate. Serves as Division Chief of assigned area accomplishing work through a group of professional, technical, and support personnel.

The pay band NH-04 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-14.

What you will do

• Develop plans and strategies to provide leadership to subordinate organizations and employees on logistical matters related to sustainment of weapon systems.
• Defines problems and develops recommendations for resolution of issues.
• Ensures coordination and/or participation in planning of all concerned functional elements.
• Directs, develops, and/or implements logistics policies, processes, initiatives, and/or programs for major, highly complex weapon systems sustainment.
• Brief and interact with senior military and civilian leaders to explain, advocate, and express facts and ideas on logistics issues.
• Ensures compliance with policies and recommends policy changes to fit requirements
