What you will do

- The incumbent serves as the Department's subject matter expert in the field of employment discrimination complaint adjudication.
- The incumbent serves as a liaison between OEDCA and internal and external stakeholders, to include executing congressionally-mandated reporting and representing the VA in connection with recurring program oversight and compliance functions led by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and Congress.
- The incumbent leads process and quality improvement programs, to include training and oversight.
Education
Applicants must possess a J.D. degree (or equivalent) AND a current active bar membership from any State, territory, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, District of Columbia, or Federal Court.
Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications. Therefore, provide only the attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.

How you will be evaluated
Step 1: Review of resume for minimum qualifications (not to exceed 2 pages). Step 2. A VA Executive Resources Panel review to determine Best Qualified applicants for referral to selecting official.
Step 3. Approval by the Selecting Official (may include additional screening such as interviews, background and reference checks)

- Proof of non-competitive eligibility is required.
- Proof consists of an SF-50 showing career/career conditional status on an SL appointment, or SES Career Appointment and for SES members, proof of Qualifications Review Board (QRB) certification and proof of previous appointment showing career/career conditional status in the competitive service.
What to expect next
The Corporate Senior Executive Management Office (CSEMO) will review all applications to determine if applicants meet the minimum qualifications for this position as outlined in the Resume. Those who meet the minimum qualifications will be referred to a VA Executive Resources Rating panel for rating and ranking.
The panel will recommend a list of Best Qualified candidates to the selecting official for final review and selection.
