About the role

About the Position: In this position you will serve as the Physical Security Program Manager for the Defense Health Agency located at Falls Church, Virginia. You will develop enterprise-wide physical security policy, strategic plans and standards across medical centers and facilities. A relocation incentive might be authorized.

Leave accrual negotiation might be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

What you will do

  • Develops long-range program plans, goals, objectives, and milestones to evaluate the effectiveness of the physical security program.
  • Directs and manages the installation physical security and electronic security systems.
  • Serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in advising agency leadership on security matters.
  • Presents and defends organizational security positions at executive meetings and working groups.
  • Leads Staff Assistance Visits (SAV) and compliance evaluations across multi-site facilities.
  • Monitors, analyzes, and evaluates physical security program compliance against federal standards.

To be considered well-qualified and receive selection priority applicants must satisfy all qualification requirements for the position and receive a score of 90 or above.

Continued employment requires written certification that it advances the public interest. Direct Deposit of Pay is required.

Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement.
