About the Position: This is a military technician position with the Army Reserve Aviation Command, Aviation Support Facility (ASF) Eustis East located at Fort Eustis, Virginia. This position requires an active membership as a Soldier in the Army Reserve before a start date can be set.

What you will do

• Serve as flight engineer/crew chief.
• Utilize tools and equipment.
• Repair rotary wing assemblies and components.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions.

This position requires a 1 year probationary period during which the agency evaluates your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest.

Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement. Salary is based on the local prevailing rate. When you perform a Civilian Permanent Change of Station (PCS) with the government, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) considers the majority of your entitlements to be taxable.

New Army Reserve Military Technicians may be authorized moving expenses to their first official duty station. To be eligible to receive moving expenses, you must be a newly appointed Federal civilian employee or have a minimum of a 3-day break in service from previous Federal civilian employment.

Recruitment, retention, and/or relocation incentive, advance in-hire rates, advanced leave accrual, and creditable service for leave accrual may be authorized when determined to be in the best interest of the government.
