What you will do

• The incumbent is involved in recreational activities at the Single Marine and Sailor Program (SMP) Recreation Center at Kaneohe Bay Marine Base.
• Performs and/or assists in the operation of the SMP Recreation Center.
• Based on established policies, incumbent carries out assigned phases of designated activity applying an understanding of the interest and needs of the program participants.
• Typical assignments may include: Maintaining and executing daily operations at the Single Marine Program facility to include checking out recreational equipment, providing information on programs and events, and interacting with patrons.
• Check and maintain inventories of supplies and recreation equipment.
• Performs general housekeeping duties such as sweeping, dusting, arranging furniture, and disposing of trash.
• Notes for repairs for supervisor¿s attention and completes necessary reports.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Assist in maintaining routine reports and/or perform clerical, custodial and/or general maintenance duties as needed.
• Operate a cash register, receive payments and make change.
• Assist and/or conduct new join briefs for authorized patrons within the facility.
• Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy.
• Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner.
• Takes action to solve problems quickly.
• Alerts supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.
• Adheres to safety regulations and standards.
• Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.
• Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
