THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a NURSING (OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH) (ACCELERATED HIRE), Position Description Number T5155P01 and is part of the HI SAAO, National Guard. LOCATION: State Army Aviation Office, Hawaii Army National Guard, Kapolei, Hawaii

What you will do

• Under this Accelerated-Hire announcement, all applicants who meet the minimum requirements at the grade level for which they apply will be forwarded to the Selecting Official for consideration.
• This authority authorizes the appointment of Excepted Service T5 NG Employees and T32 Technicians without the requirement to utilize competitive procedures.
• Applicants must meet all qualification standards to be considered for the position.
• SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The primary purpose of this position is to manage a comprehensive Occupational Health Program for the state.
• Serves as the Joint Force Headquarters - State (JFHQ-ST) Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) consultant and principle advisor to the Adjutant General (TAG) on occupational health initiatives.
• Plans, develops, and analyzes the occupational health nursing services provided to National Guard personnel throughout the state.
• Serves as the principal advisor to the Adjutant General on occupational health initiatives, policies, and program execution.
• Plans, develops, analyses, and reviews occupational health nursing services and program requirements and determines impact on National Guard military and civilian personnel and public health.
• Provides occupational health services and medical treatment for occupational and non-occupational illnesses and injuries within the incumbent's scope of practice as a Registered Nurse, in accordance with the professional State Nursing License and approved medical directives.
• Manages the Case Management Program.
• Develops and maintains a Health Education/Counseling program.
• Establishes quality improvement monitoring systems and evaluating criteria.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

If you are using Education to qualify for this position: Basic Requirements: Education: A graduate or higher level degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program is required.

This education must have been accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs, Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.

Degree from Foreign Nursing School: Official certification from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools is required for individuals who graduated from foreign nursing schools.

Licensure: For all grade levels and positions, applicants must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination. In addition, they must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.

You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims.

To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
