About the role

This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration, in the Digital Media and Visual Design (NKD), Communications (NK), Chief Administrative Office (N). A successful candidate in the Public Affairs Specialist (Digital Strategy) position will serve as a Digital Strategist within NK's Digital Media and Visual Design (NKD) organization.

What you will do

  • Plan, conduct, and evaluate a continuous comprehensive digital communication strategy in support of BPA and NK communications goals.
  • Develop strategic digital communication plans, strategies, and campaigns that build awareness, inform, and educate internal and external audiences about BPA's mission, business, priorities, policies, initiatives, issues, programs, projects, and activities.
  • Ensure all web and social media content is reviewed for clarity, communication value, with sensitivity to current events or controversial issues, and relevance to BPA, the energy industry, and Federal government.
  • Ensure digital content is compliant with all applicable policies, standards, and regulations, including Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.
  • Ensure accurate, factual, and relevant information is accessible to stakeholders, employees, news media, policymakers, and the public.
  • Provide short and long-term direction for BPA's overall digital communications strategy based on audience feedback and engagement, client needs, industry trends, best practices, and cutting edge communications approaches.
