THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION This National Guard position is for a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (FLEET MGMT), Position Description Number T5799500 and is part of the169 LRS, South Carolina Air National Guard.

What you will do

  • ***This is a Title 5 National Guard Employee position description. **This position is in the Excepted Service "under the authority of Title V, P.L.
  • 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA)" This position is located in an Air National Guard (ANG), Mission Support Group, Logistics Readiness Squadron, Vehicle Management.
  • The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Vehicle Fleet Manager for host and subordinate units; ensuring the efficient and effective utilization and maintenance of vehicles and equipment (i.e., refueling vehicles, fire trucks, materiel handling equipment, de-icing, snow removal, aircraft towing, tactical, construction equipment, and DOMOPS vehicles).
  • Incumbent performs preliminary planning, long term scheduling, managing maintenance production, and conducting analysis.
  • Analyzes and reviews reports and statistical data from subordinate functions and other sources for the purpose of evaluating overall maintenance program status or identifying exception, trend, or problems areas.

Education

Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience - Completion of 2 academic years of education in an accredited college or university will satisfy the requirements for GS-4 positions. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement.

One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience for GS-5 positions.

  • If you are currently active duty, you may submit written documentation (certification) from your branch of service certifying that you are expected to be discharged or released from active duty under honorable conditions no later than 120 days after the date the certification is signed.
  • The certification should also include when your terminal leave will begin, your rank and dates of active duty service

What to expect next
