About the role

About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency. It is located in the Family Medicine Clinic at U.S Army Garrison Miami, Doral FL. The primary purpose of this position is to provide routine and specialized care in a safe, efficient, and effective way to a diverse patient population.

This is a Direct Hire Solicitation This is an open continuous announcement. We accept applications on an ongoing basis; qualified applicants will be considered as vacancies become available.

What you will do

  • Perform tasks such as recording vital signs, ordering labs, tracking patient’s laboratory, radiology orders and referral results to completion.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation of care provided and ensures adherence to established protocols.
  • Prepare and delivers oral, topical, and injectable forms while monitoring for and responding to side effects or adverse reactions.
  • Assist with resuscitations, stabilizations, and other critical interventions as well as initiates emergency care as needed and assembles, operates, and monitors specialized equipment.
  • Monitor patient responses during and after procedures, ensuring that any complications are addressed promptly.
  • Assist in counseling and educating patients to include, but not limited to diet, acute or chronic illness, wellness/preventative health measures, immunizations, demonstrating proper use of medical devices, and addresses questions about ongoing care.

Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. Recruitment or relocation incentives MAY be authorized for highly qualified candidates. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement.
