About the Position: This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. This position is located in the Family Medicine Department at Guthrie Army Health Clinic, Fort Drum, NY. This is an open continuous announcement.

What you will do

• Obtain information from patient and/or family to identify major complaints, symptoms, or reason for seeking health care.
• Take all vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations, pain level, height, weight, measurement of head circumference, and length).
• Set up and maintain a sterile field.
• Administer oxygen, IV fluid and prescribed oral, rectal, subcutaneous, and intramuscular medications.
• Transcribe information to medical records and official school forms.
• Perform teaching to patients and/or family regarding self-care procedures and document teaching.

Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct Deposit of Pay is required.

Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Student Loan repayment may be authorized.

Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
