About the role

About the Position: This position is located at the Martin Army Community Hospital at Fort Benning, Georgia. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation This is an open continuous announcement. Multiple vacancies exist and may be filled from this announcement at any of the locations listed.

What you will do

  • Serve as an expert and consultant in Obstetrics and Gynecology care.
  • Examine, diagnose, and treat the full range of OB/GYN patients.
  • Provide preventative care and education to women seen in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic.
  • Evaluate functional and dysfunctional problems related to the female pelvis.
  • Evaluate laboratory and clinical findings and provide the appropriate treatment for patients.
  • Guide, train, and instruct medical students, interns, residents, and other professional personnel as required in ambulatory OB/GYN care.
  • Attend departmental and service specific conference and lectures.
  • Perform gynecologic surgeries for OB/GYN patients.
  • Perform OB/GYN services in labor and delivery for infants.

One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct Deposit of Pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.

Permanent Change of Station (PCS) allowances MAY be authorized, subject to the provisions of the Joint Travel Regulations and an agency determination that a PCS move is in the Government Interest Position is designated as Mission Essential.

The incumbent will be required to report to work during times of contingency operations, natural disasters, extreme weather or other emergency situations. Salary negotiation MAY be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
