About the role
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoW Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is located with the U.S. Army Maneuver Support Center of Excellence (MSCoE), Army Engineer School, 1st Engineer Brigade, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
What you will do
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to maximize Soldier performance and improve unit readiness.
- Develop programs to optimize performance behaviors or mitigate injury risk.
- Perform formal and informal evaluations in the various areas, such as physical, psychological, cognitive, activities of daily living (ADLs), functional and adaptive skills, and work and occupational role performance.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement goal-oriented group and/or behavioral-focused individual treatment programs.
- Apply the use of therapeutic modalities and new integrative techniques and technologies.
- Participate on an interdisciplinary team to coordinate the rehabilitation or wellness activities for individual Soldiers or groups of Soldiers with the brigade.
- Educate on the injury/disease process and its effect on function, joint protection, energy conservation, ergonomic needs, work simplification, and cognitive compensatory techniques.
