About the Position: This position is located with Defense Health Agency, Augusta Market, with SOUTHCOM. The incumbent will serve as a medical records technician reviewing, analyzing, processing, and maintaining medical records in compliance with regulatory requirements. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

What you will do

• Analyze medical records for completeness and accuracy to ensure they meet prescribed documentation directives and accreditation standards.
• Manage the life-cycle of medical records by overseeing their creation, maintenance, filing, and transfer in accordance with established procedures.
• Process requests for medical information by abstracting pertinent data to ensure compliance with the Privacy Act and other confidentiality directives.
• Verify medical information requests by confirming the requester's entitlement to access information prior to releasing records.
• Maintain detailed logs of all released medical information to ensure proper tracking, reporting, and initiation of billing procedures.

Education
