  • Its purpose is to serve as a Logistics Management Specialist with responsibility for developing, planning, organizing, and analyzing wing logistics plans that include multiple units and is the technical expert on all Logistics Information Systems in support of deployment operations.

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, Position Description Number PDT5902800 and is part of the WY 153d Logistics Readiness Squadron, Wyoming National Guard. This position is in the Excepted Service "under the authority of Title V, P.L. 114-328, and Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA)".

This is a Title 5 Excepted Service position. Military affiliation is not required.

What you will do

  • This position is the Wyoming Air National Guard (ANG), 153d Mission Support Group, 153d Logistics Readiness Squadron's Deployment and Distribution Flight, Plans and Integration Section.
  • Its purpose is to serve as a Logistics Management Specialist with responsibility for developing, planning, organizing, and analyzing wing logistics plans that include multiple units and is the technical expert on all Logistics Information Systems in support of deployment operations.

  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Must obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
  • This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program.
  • Employees are paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT).
  • Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
  • Veterans' Preference applies (if applicable) to this advertisement.
  • May be required to successfully complete a two-year trial period.

  • Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.
  • Duties and responsibilities may significantly impact the environment.
  • Responsible to maintain awareness of environmental responsibilities as dictated by legal and regulatory requirements, organization, and its changing mission.
  • Designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration.
  • This designation will not exceed 14 calendar days per year unless otherwise approved in advance by The Adjutant General (TAG).
  • May be required to participate in contingency readiness exercises, major accident response exercises, and investigations, and perform duties during Nat'l Guard drill periods and annual training.

Education

Substitution of Education for Experience per OPM Administrative and Management: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree.

You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims.

To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
