About the role

This is a 120-day non-reimbursable assignment. The only compensation for this assignment is the federal salary you are already receiving. United States Secret Service (USSS) IT Product Manager (Detail Opportunity) Series Requested: 2210 Security Clearance: Top Secret Virtual/Remote: No Only current, full-time federal employees are eligible.

What you will do

• The Office of the Chief Information Officer is seeking an IT Product Manager to serve within the Product Management Branch.
• The detailee will lead product strategy, planning, development, and delivery for key IT systems and platforms supporting USSS mission requirements.
• The incumbent will oversee product lifecycle management, stakeholder engagement, and user experience, ensuring alignment with USSS objectives and compliance with federal IT and cybersecurity standards.
• Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, applying Agile methodologies, and driving continuous improvement based on user feedback and mission needs.
• This is a 120-day detail that may be extended up to 12 months.

Selected applicants for a JDA are requested to fulfill the items below during the JDA: Complete the DHS Training Course 15 days prior to the arrival to the JDA. Complete the DHS Joint Duty Assignment Progress Plan to include: Phase 1: Establish assignment objectives within the first 30 days of the JDA.

Phase 2: Complete a self-assessment of the duties performed at the mid-point of the JDA. Phase 3: Complete a final review within the last 30 days of the JDA.
