About the role
About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25.
This position is with the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command, 500th Military Intelligence Brigade 205th Military Intelligence Battalion Geospatial Intelligence Section located at Fort Shafter, Hawaii.
What you will do
- Analyze imagery, data, and information to identify and locate foreign military/government installations, equipment, forces, activity, capabilities and limitations.
- Produce all types of Geospatial products utilizing a variety of sources, such as Synthetic Aperture RADAR, Thermal Infrared , Electro-Optical , Overhead Persistent Infrared , Multi/Hyper Spectral Imagery and other sources.
- Respond to formal, informal requests for support and requests for information from a variety of users and supported customers from tactical, operational and strategic level units, intelligence agencies and joint/sister services.
- Execute multiple concurrent research projects, to include automation nominations submitted by subordinate analysts to prepare Geospatial Intelligence products in accordance with national-level intelligence requirements.
- Perform quality control of all intelligence production for the accuracy and timeliness of various Geospatial Intelligence products and services for a variety of users.
- Provide input into development, implementation and maintenance of new processes, projects, policies, and toolsets of Army, Defense and Intelligence Community processing and exploitation programs that operationalize Geospatial Intelligence.
