- Provides written and oral communication techniques sufficient to develop and deliver briefings, project papers, status/staff reports, and correspondence to managers to foster understanding and acceptance of fact findings and recommendations.
- Utilizes a wide range of HR principles, practices, and regulations sufficient to perform detailed analyses and draw conclusions on complex issues, problems, and situations.
- Advises managers about appropriate disciplinary or other corrective techniques that are responsive to a range of conduct and performance problems; explain rules and procedures to employees and help them understand their rights and obligations.
- Advises and assists management on a continuing basis to find sound solutions to problems in support of personnel needs of the organization.
- Supervises employees to include: assigning and distributing work, coaching, counseling, tutoring, and mentoring employees; approving and disapproving leave, recommending and completing personnel actions, disciplinary actions, completing performance reviews, approving time, training employees, keeping abreast of and actively supporting the principles of the EEO program, and prevention of sexual harassment.
- This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
