About the role

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position: This position serves as Hazardous Materials Handler Leader working alongside, others setting the pace for receiving, storing, issuing, shipping, and re-warehousing hazardous materials.

What you will do

  • Work along with other workers, setting the pace.
  • Answer workers questions regarding procedures, policies, written instructions, and other directives (e.g., technical orders).
  • Obtains needed information or decisions from the supervisor on problems that come up during the work.
  • Ensures that the needed plans, blueprints, material, and tools are available and attained.
  • Pass on to other workers instructions received from supervisor.

This is a Supply Management Career Field position. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
