About the role

About the position: This is a Flexible (Intermittent) category position located at the Daily Grind Coffee Shop, 423d Force Support Squadron, RAF Alconbury, United Kingdom. The incumbent may be required to work 0-40 hours per week, although there are no guaranteed weekly hours. The position requires frequent walking, standing, lifting, stooping, bending, pulling, and reaching.

What you will do

• Operates limited coffee operation.
• Prepares a limited variety of hot beverages such as cappuccinos, brewed coffee, lattes, espresso, hot chocolate, etc, by selecting proper ingredients.
• Serves cold beverages and food items such as frappuccinos, smoothies, soda, juice, cookies, muffins, pastries, bagels, etc. Prepares and assembles food items such as sandwiches, paninis, fruit, and salad bowls to include slicing bread, meat, and cheese items and washing and dicing fruits and vegetables for use in the daily menu.
• Uses a flat grill to cook breakfast items, such as eggs, bacon, and sausages.
• Receives payment, operates cash register, makes and returns change to patrons.
• Sets up work area for operation and obtains cash bank.
• Maintains work area neat and clean.
• Sets up/cleans tables for customers and replenishes condiment items as necessary.
• Sets up and operates dishwashers, performs preventative maintenance and cleaning.
• Scrapes, soaks, scours glassware, dishes and utensils as required.
