What you will do
- As a FIRE CHIEF (NGT6329000), GS-0081-12, you will serve as the Fire Chief responsible for the overall management and supervision of the fire protection/crash rescue and fire prevention program for the base.
Education
SUBSTITUTION FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Appropriate firefighter training may be substituted for experience on a month-for-month basis. Firefighter training obtained as part of a high school curriculum- may be substituted for the SIX (6) months of general experience required.
Successful completion of a 2-year course of study in an accredited college or university in Fire Training, Fire Science, or other related fields of study is qualifying or successful completion of a 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university with major study in Fire Science, Fire Training, or other related fields of study may be substituted for the TWELVE (12) months of specialized experience required.
NOTE: Copy of the Official/student transcripts showing conferred Degree must be included in order to receive credit for education. Unofficial transcripts from internet or with alterations will not be considered. To receive credit for education the information must be included in the education section of the Resume.
