About the role

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position: Provides expert electrical products, services, and support for electrical and electronic features on a wide range of projects for Military, Civil Works, International and Interagency Support (IIS), and Hazardous and Toxic Radiological Waste (HTRW) programs.

What you will do

• Provides expert electrical engineering planning, design, review, and investigation for the full range of electrical systems.
• Designs electrical features of proposed work, including unconventional, complex, and challenging projects.
• Reviews construction schedules and cost estimates to ensure they are appropriate and reasonable for electrical features.
• Prepares written reports documenting inspections, investigations, coordination, findings, and recommendations.
• Interprets policies, regulations, codes, and criteria, and provides authoritative advice on projects.

Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement. When you perform a Civilian Permanent Change of Station (PCS) with the government, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) considers the majority of your entitlements to be taxable.

Position(s) will be filled at the GS-12 or GS-13 grade level. This is a full-time permanent developmental position. Selectee will be required to complete 52 weeks before being promoted to the next higher grade level.

This position has promotion potential to the higher-grade GS-13 when requirements have been completed and when recommended by management.
