About the role
Support the Military's Quality of Life programs! The Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) department of Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) provides fitness, recreation, lodging and food and beverage programs for service members, their families, retired military and civilian employees.
This position is assigned to the Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) Food and Beverage; Fleet Readiness; Commander, Navy Installations command (CNIC); NBK Bangor - Warrior Eatery.
What you will do
- Set up glasses, silverware, butter, condiments, salads, desserts, bread and cold beverages on serving counter as instructed.
- Removes soiled dishes from tables and transports them to the dishwasher.
- Cuts, scrapes, chops, dices and peels fruits and vegetables.
- May operate electric can opener, electric potato peeler, etc. Pre-rinses dishes with water to remove food particles before washing.
- Loads dishes in the dishwasher, stacks and stores dishes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

H.S. Diploma or equivalent.

- If your degree has not been awarded and/or you possess certificates of completion for DoD approved competency-based training courses, and/or a valid CDA/MSA credential(s), you MUST also provide a copy of your HS Diploma or equivalent.
- Altered transcripts will not be accepted.
- Transcripts from foreign colleges must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency in order to be considered.
- Applicants are responsible to obtain and submit proof of creditability of education as evaluated by a credentialing agency which is a private U.S. organization.
- Credential evaluations are not free and applicants are responsible for the cost of the selected service.
- Foreign high school transcripts or diplomas do not require credential evaluation but must be in English or a certified translation.

Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate.
Must be able to use simple kitchen equipment and use common utensils.
Must be able to operate a cash register.
Must be able to follow food recipes and combine ingredients for pizza, salads, and other menu items.
Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays to support business needs and schedule will vary.
Work involves light to moderate physical effort such as frequently lifting or moving objects weighing up to 30 pounds, constantly standing and walking, and occasionally lifting up to 45 pounds.
