About the role
There is one position located in the Division of Risk Management Supervision (RMS) of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in Washington, D.C., or one of the area or regional offices. Salary reflects a pay cap for this position of $295,000. This is a Schedule Policy/Career position in the Excepted Service.

What you will do
- Assists the Division of Risk Management Supervision's (RMS's) Executive Management Team as a technical expert, responsible for planning and directing the Business Process Modernization Initiative (Initiative).
- Working across the Corporation to ensure the Initiative is properly scoped by developing, maintaining, and successfully executing the program work.
- Collaborates with senior and executive management across Divisions to ensure that the Initiative's technical requirements, such as those relating to enterprise architecture, security, integrations, data, program work sequencing, and other strategies under consideration or in development are successfully aligned.
- Participates in conferences, forums, and meetings with Corporation staff nationwide, as well as other regulatory agencies, outside organizations, and bank personnel as necessary regarding RMS supervisory procedures.
- Prepares Initiative briefings for executives, management, employee groups and conferences.
- Coordinates and collaborates on the development of briefing materials.
- Creates documents, including policy documents and directives related to the Initiative.
- Identifies and raises policy and program issues and recommends solutions to issues and provides alternatives for consideration.
- Develops and prioritizes the Initiative's program work.
- Partners with product managers, sponsors, and/or stakeholders to establish the strategic direction.
- Advises executive management on operational, systems, and technical risk issues arising from automating the Division's end-to-end business processes, which requires complex analyses of technical matters, such as those that impact legal, policy, specialty areas, and others.
- Oversees the Initiative's most complex assignments, such as monitoring Scrum Teams; oversees budgets and project plans; approves staffing plans; and educates the Chief Information Officer Organization (CIOO) contracting staff.
- Advises on the business requirements needed to develop contractual documentation (Statements of Work (SOWs) and Statements of Objectives (SOOs)) for acquiring Information Technology (IT) systems, equipment, and services (both in the cloud and on premises) required for the program.

Knowledge of strategies for leading and directing initiatives that require coordination across multiple divisions and senior executives and/or involve multidisciplinary work, including prioritizing program deliverables, overseeing project teams, and ensuring alignment of resources and technical requirements. This position is in the Excepted Service. The range of pay shown includes base pay plus supplemental locality adjustments. The locality rates for these duty locations range from a low of 18.97% to a high of 51.75%.
