Main duties

  • If selected, you will serve as a Budget Analyst in the United States Attorney's Office (USAO) for the District of Hawaii.
  • You will perform a wide range of administrative and analytical duties for administering the district's financial management program.
  • Typical work assignments will include: Planning and developing budget estimates for the district; Providing technical guidance, advice and assistance to USAO management on federal budget policies and procedures; Ensuring program funding requirements are prioritized, and that funds are efficiently distributed to support missions, objectives, and goals; Providing a wide variety of budgetary reports; Monitoring and tracking obligations and expenditures for the office; Managing the travel charge card program to establish and cancel accounts, and reviewing oversight reports to ensure proper program execution; Conducting cost-benefit analyses and forecasting future resource needs; Assisting in audits or reviews of budget and financial systems; and Presenting budget proposals and reports to leadership.

What you will do

  • This position is considered a career ladder opportunity, with a full performance level of GS-12.

Education

All academic degrees and coursework must be completed at a college or university that has obtained accreditation or pre-accreditation status from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
