THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a ATTORNEY-ADVISER (GENERAL) TITLE 32 PERMANENT, Position Description Number D124000 and is part of the NH ARNG Command Section, National Guard. This vacancy is to gather applications that may or may not result in a referral or selection.

What you will do

  • The primary purpose of the position is to serve as the full-time professional legal adviser and support to the Adjutant General, the Commander of federally recognized Army and Air National Guards, and state/territory unique public defense or safety structures.
  • Also serves as the principle professional legal adviser to the United States Property and Fiscal Officer (USPFO), state/territory National Guard senior leadership, state/territory National Guard directorates, and subordinate National Guard commanded units or state/territory level divisions.

Education

Assignments require the first professional law degree (LL.B. or J.D.), active membership in the bar of the highest court of a State, Territory, or the District of Columbia, and one of the following: (a) Two years of professional legal experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 level (second professional law degree (Master of Laws [LL.M.]) provided is required one full academic year of graduate study and 1 year of professional legal experience. or (b) The second professional law degree (LL.M.) plus one year of professional legal experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 level

  • Prior/current Federal employees are required to submit their most recent SF 50 with their packet.
  • The SF-50(s) must reflect the highest grade and step held in Federal Service that demonstrates one year time in grade.
