The purpose of this position is to accomplish technical duties in support of a cultural resource program This is a temporary position expected to last 1039 Hours You may be required to travel overnight away from home up to 1 nights per month. You may obtain a government charge card for travel purposes. First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the step 1 rate.

What you will do

- Documents results of research.
- Plans and carries out non-complex cultural resource field inventories.
- Determines inventory methods to use, identifies area to be inventoried, schedules inventory, and arranges for equipment, supplies and transportation.
- Obtains required permission from landowners, trains crewmembers and assigns work.
- Monitors work during progress and answers questions from crewmembers.
- Complies, summarizes and interprets data obtained during inventories.
- Presents findings and recommendations.
- Prepares statements of work for non-complex cultural resource fieldinventories.
- Monitors contractor performance recommending modification ofcontract to account for new circumstances.
