About the role
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for an AIRCRAFT LOADMASTER (INSTRUCTOR) (OPEN UNTIL FILLED), Position Description Number PDD2300000 and PDD2309000 and is part of the WY 153rd Operations Group, Wyoming Air National Guard. This is a Title 32 Dual Status Technician Excepted Service position. Military affiliation is required Advertisement open until filled.
What you will do

Requirements
- Open to current active-duty Air Force, Air Force Reserves, and other states' Air National Guard members.
- Must become a military member of the Wyoming Air Nat'l Guard before appt.
- May be required to successfully complete a two-year trial period.
- Federal employment suitability is determined by a background investigation.
- Recruitment/Relocation Incentive MAY BE authorized, if eligible.
- Subject to funding and TAG approval.
- PCS costs are not authorized.
- Must be willing to relocate at own expense if selected.
- EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS: Technicians are paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT).
- Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses.
- Acceptance of a Technician position will terminate these military incentives.

- Acceptance of a permanent or indefinite position will cause termination from the Selected Reserve Incentive Program (SRIP) and TRICARE Reserve Select (TRS).

- CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: 1.
- Must attain and maintain mission-ready status at the appropriate crew qualification level in the unit's assigned aircraft.
- Periodically, as prescribed by regulations, must take and pass written and in-flight standardization evaluation examinations to include random no notice evaluations.
- The incumbent is exposed to physiological hazards of flight plus physical and psychological demands of routine lengthy missions (up to 24 hours duration), must work in confined, hazardous noise areas, is subject to inclement weather during ground operations and dangerous environmental conditions during flight and may operate in austere location.
- May be required to travel in military and commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
- Required to maintain proficiency in the use of firearms.
- As prescribed by regulation, may be required to carry and use a concealed weapon while performing aircrew related duties.
- GS-9 candidates must be instructor qualified, maintaining proficiency in the Principles of Instruction.
- GS-9 incumbents will be required to maintain flight examiner qualification.
- Periodically, as prescribed by regulations, must take and pass written and in-flight standardization/ evaluation examinations to include random no-notice evaluations.
