About the role
The position is located in the Office of the General Counsel, Executive Office for Immigration Review, U.S. Dept. of Justice. This position directs administrative operations for the OGC and advises senior leadership on budget, human resources, organizational management, and administrative services. It also coordinates resources and leads administrative staff.
This is a Competitive Service position; additional positions may be filled from this announcement within 90 days of certificate issuance.

- Evaluates administrative programs, policies, and work processes to identify operational issues and recommend improvements that increase organizational effectiveness.
- Represents organizational administrative interests with senior officials and reviews correspondence, recommendations, and reports for policy implications and responsiveness to leadership objectives.
- Supervises administrative staff by assigning work, establishing priorities and performance standards, evaluating performance, and addressing employee development and workplace matters.

- The SF-50 must show you are a current DOJ employee.
- Must provide your most recent non-award Notification of Personnel Action (SF-50) showing you are in the competitive service (block 24 must contain a 1 or 2 and block 34 must contain a 1), highest grade held (and promotion potential) on a permanent basis, position title (block 15), series, grade and step (blocks 17, 18 & 19), and organization of record (block 22).
