About the role

This position is located in the Wellness Center within Division of Community Health Services at the Crownpoint Service Unit, Crownpoint New Mexico.

The purpose of the position is to lead in integrating comprehensive and cost-effective wellness and prevention strategies into current business and clinical practices, promoting patient self-management to improve the health of the patient population. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).

  • Coordinates curriculum development for patient education and health promotion classes.

  • Functions as team leader, responsible for coordinating the efforts of the hospital in implementing integrated and comprehensive health promotion programs and policies.

IHS may offer newly-appointed Federal employees credit for their directly related previous non-federal experience or active duty uniformed military service. This credited service can be used in determining the rate at which they earn annual leave. This position is covered by a Bargaining Unit.
