About the role
You will serve as a Weight Handling Equipment Inspector/Mechanic in the Research and Development Service Division, Code 3523.5 of NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY This is a flyer to notify applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications won't be accepted through this flyer.

What you will do

- You will make recommendations to supervision when inspection reveals unusual damage, deterioration or conditions where repairs are economically questionable, concerning inspection findings and other corrective actions.
- You will correspond with the local crane engineer as well as the Navy Crane Center (NCC) to ensure that alterations and modifications are approved and adhere to all applicable standards and regulations.
- You will serve as the Load Test Director and conduct load tests, operational tests, various type of proof tests, and related actions necessary to recommend certification or acceptance of WHE at NRL and associated field sites.
