About the role

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D0884000 and is part of the KS Joint Forces Headquarters, National Guard.

What you will do

• As a TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-2130-11, you serve as the Command Transportation Officer and represents the Director of Logistics on transportation matters involving movement of personnel, equipment and supplies, both domestically and internationally.
• Serve as principle representative for military transportation matters and for planning and executing unit movements.
• Direct, oversee and provide technical guidance for preparation, maintenance and execution of movement plans for mobilization and deployment.
• Coordinates surface and air movements with appropriate DOD, federal and state agencies to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Coordinate commercial requirements with the Traffic Management Office as needed for commercial transportation.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Work Schedule: This position works on a 5/4/9 compressed work schedule that consists of a 5-day workweek, then a 4-day workweek (eight 9-hour days and one 8-hour day and an SDO, Scheduled Day Off) to complete the 80-hour pay period.
• Work schedule is subject to change based on mission requirements.
• Telework: ELIGIBLE FOR SITUATIONAL TELEWORK ONLY, INCLUDING EMERGENCY AND PRESCRIBED "UNSCHEDULED TELEWORK

What to expect next
