THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a TOOLS AND PARTS ATTENDANT SUPVERSIOR, Position Description Number PDD1229000 and is part of the KY CSMS, National Guard.
What you will do
- As a TOOLS AND PARTS ATTENDANT SUPVERSIOR, WS-6904-6, you will plan use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials.
- Establish deadlines, priorities, and work sequences, and plans work.
- Coordinate work with supporting or related work functions controlled by other supervisors.
- Participate with the supervisor in the planning of work schedules, budget requests, staffing needs, estimates, and recommendations as to scheduling projected work.
- Investigate work related problems such as excessive costs or low productivity and determines causes.
- Implement corrective actions within their authority to resolve work problems.
- Determine training needs of subordinates and arrange for accomplishment.
- Set performance standards, and make formal appraisals of subordinate work performance.
- Initiate recommendations for promotion or reassignment of subordinates.
- Perform the non-supervisory work of the function, as needed.
- Implement regulatory safety requirements and ensure that subordinates follow pertinent safety precautions.
- Ensure employee compliance with standing operating procedures.
- Implement and comply with facility, agency, state, and federal regulatory Occupational Safety and Health, and environmental requirements.
- Ensure subordinates are trained, qualified, and equipped with proper personnel protective equipment, environmental mediation equipment, and materials.
- Prepare for and participate in various types of readiness evaluations, inspections, mobilization and command support exercises.

Requirements
- You must maintain membership in the Kentucky National Guard.
- You must be assigned to a compatible military position.
- Wear of the military uniform.
- Position may require a pre-employment physical.
- May be subject to furlough actions.
- May be required to successfully complete a trial period.
- May be required to successfully complete a supervisory/managerial probationary period.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- Must obtain and maintain a favorable adjudication of a T3 or equivalent investigation.
- Acceptance of a Federal position may terminate a military bonus.
- Acceptance of a Federal position will terminate Tricare Reserve Select (TRS) eligibility.
- This position is located on a tobacco free facility.
- Must attended Supervisor Training: failure to complete Supervisor Training within 12 months of appointment will result in reversion to previous position.This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968.
- An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
