About the role

This position is located at: NAF Support Services - Fort Irwin, California. Join our team at Fort Irwin National Training Center. DFMWR integrates and delivers Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation programs and services enabling readiness and resilience for a globally-responsive Army.

What you will do

  • Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, and controls assigned activities within the Administration and Operations Branch.
  • Creates and manages various databases for information gathering and reporting for evaluation purposes.
  • In addition to supervisory duties and responsibilities, incumbent is responsible for a variety of support service functions essential to the orderly and efficient accomplishment of work for a large directorate having numerous and diverse functions.
  • These duties include, but are not limited to, matters of records management, personnel security, classified information and purchases.
  • Serves as the classified documents custodian, publications officer, and assistant supervisory security manager.
  • Specifically, the incumbent exercises independent judgment and skill in planning and maintaining matters related to personnel security, the tracking of government purchase card purchases, all general and office administrative functions.
  • Correspondence control and preparation, briefings, processing of a wide variety of civilian awards, the conduct of special projects, studies and reports, and internal control actions, safety requirements, and emergency contingency operations.
