THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY MANAGEMENT OFFICER-TITLE 32, Position Description Number PDD2651000 and is part of the KY WHFRTC, National Guard.

What you will do

  • As a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY MANAGEMENT OFFICER-TITLE 32, GS-2003-11, you will plan, direct, and organize the housing assignment, billeting, and logistical operations of a GTC.
  • Assemble and review budget estimates for the DOL.
  • Determine funding requirements and direct the preparation of budget justifications.
  • Review, analyze, and interpret supply directives and procedural instructions and plans operating procedures to render the best possible support to the training centers and supported elements.
  • Exercise direct supervisory and personnel management responsibilities.
  • Advise and provide counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
  • Identify employee developmental needs and arrange for training to improve job performance.
  • Render technical assistance and guidance to the Base Operations Manager, and higher levels of command for logistical services, and assist other directorates with requisitioning supplies and equipment.
  • Meet with National Guard Bureau personnel, other agencies, National Guard Commands and activities on logistical matters, plans, policies, and directives.
  • Collaborate with units to coordinate work-related changes affecting other units as well as plan for training exercises.
  • Develop plans to support continuous training center operations.
  • Coordinate with Army Subsistence Command and other agencies to ensure the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program and other logistical contracts are prepared in accordance with regulatory guidance.
  • Develop plans to logistically support emergency operations in the event of severe weather events and natural disasters.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • You must maintain membership in the Kentucky National Guard.
  • You must be assigned to a compatible military position.
  • Wear of the military uniform.
  • Position may require a pre-employment physical.
  • May be subject to furlough actions.
  • May be required to successfully complete a trial period.
  • Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
  • Must obtain and maintain a favorable adjudication of a T3 or equivalent investigation.
  • Acceptance of a Federal position may terminate a military bonus.
  • Acceptance of a Federal position will terminate Tricare Reserve Select (TRS) eligibility.
  • This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968.
  • An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
  • Must attended Supervisor Training: failure to complete Supervisor Training within 12 months of appointment will result in reversion to previous position.
