About the Position: This is a Military Technician position with the 79th Sustainment Support Command, 653 Regional Support Group, 311 Expeditionary Sustainment Command located at Mesa, Arizona. This position requires an active membership as a Soldier in the Army Reserve before a start date can be set.

What you will do

  • Serve as a Supervisory Staff Administrator for an Army Reserve Brigade, Group, or comparable size element.
  • Exercise supervision over the daily activities of a full-time staff.
  • Formulate plans and programs to insure consistent implementation of the Commander’s objectives.
  • Provide advice to the Commander and staff on a variety of programs associated with carrying out the organization’s mission.
  • Conduct analysis of programs and activities through the review of reports.
  • Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates and set and adjust short term priorities.

One year trial period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.

Salary includes applicable locality pay. Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest. As a supervisor, you must comply with the Army Civilian Education System (CES) course and timeline requirements.

Temporary appointments may be extended up to a maximum of three (3) years.
