About the role

This position is located at the Community Recreation Division, Outdoor Recreation, DFMWR, Camp Casey, Tongduchon, South Korea. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Army NAF pay setting rules apply to this vacancy announcement.

What you will do

  • Equipment Check-Out Center, a high adventure program, classroom facilities, Archery Range, paintball course, mountain hiking.
  • Plans, supervises and directs year-round or seasonal outdoor recreation activities and services.
  • Integrates risk management and organization safety program requirements into daily operations and activities.
  • Devises, improvises, and adapts these various activities to fit the conditions of the natural environment, and to conform to limitations in funds, facilities, equipment, and staff support.
  • Responsible for inventories and property; determines equipment condition; initiates maintenance, repair or replacement as appropriate.
  • Recommends purchase/construction of equipment and facilities.
  • Prepares appropriated and nonappropriated budgets and monitors expenditures to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Ensures proper procedures are used to ensure that no misappropriation of funds occurs and maintains effective internal controls.

Education

Preference will be given to applicants who possess a bachelor's degree in the recreation, outdoor recreation, or a related field.

Area of Consideration This job is open to candidates worldwide. Family Member Preference (FMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration. PCS Costs Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is in the Government's interest.

In accordance with the Joint Travel Regulations, most individuals will be authorized movement of Household Goods, Temporary Storage, and Air, POV, or Rail Transportation to your new duty station. In addition, some individuals may also be authorized Temporary Quarters Subsistence Allowance (TQSA). Allowances and Differentials This job is part of a pay-banded system.

Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Foreign overseas allowances, post allowance, and differentials will be paid, contingent upon eligibility.

These allowances may include Living Quarters Allowance (LQA), Temporary Quarters Subsistence Allowance (TQSA) and require a Transportation Agreement in accordance (IAW) the provisions of the Department of States Standardized Regulations (DSSR).

If an employee brings a child to an overseas location and that child is entitled to attend a DoD school on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, the DoDEA and the Military Department responsible for providing related services will ensure that the child, if eligible for special education, receives a free appropriate public education, including related services pursuant to DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.

If an employee brings an infant or toddler (up to 3 years of age) to an overseas location, and that infant or toddler, but for the child's age, is entitled to attend the DoDEA on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, then the Military Department responsible for Early Intervention Services (EIS) will provide the infant or toddler with the required EIS in accordance with the eligibility criteria consistent with DoDI1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.

Employees (and family members) who require medical or dental care in the overseas location will be responsible for obtaining and paying for such care. Access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a space-available and reimbursable basis only.
