Main duties

What you will do

  • Oversees, guides, and directs assigned ALCC subordinate workforce; establishes performance standards, evaluates employee performance, and identifies training and developmental needs to improve operational efficiency.
  • Manages, coordinates, and leads office work to plan, design, and execute program management for the integration of ALCC efforts with Enterprise Risk Management, Operations, Plans, Exercises, and Mission Assurance.
  • Develops and maintains DLA-wide cyber policies, processes, procedures, business rules, and rules of engagement across DLA IT environments, forming coalitions and working groups with agency stakeholders.
  • Serves as primary interface between J6 Audit and ALCC, ensuring Audit Readiness compliance, managing Plan of Action and Milestones (POA Ms), After Action Reports, and conducting strategic industry/DOD partnerships.
  • Serves as technical authority for cyber risk management, identifying and sustaining Key Cyber Terrain (KC-T), Mission Relevant Terrain-Cyber (MRT-C), Defense Critical Infrastructure, and supply chain vulnerabilities.
  • Performs mission-level cyber risk management aligned with DLA Enterprise Risk Management, manages Risk Management Framework categorizations, and reports readiness in Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS).
  • Plans, synchronizes, and executes cyber mission assurance exercises, including War Games, Command Post Exercises, and Tabletop simulations, integrating Cyber Intelligence and RED Teams Oversees contingency planning security controls and updates disaster recovery plans based on exercise lessons learned to ensure critical cyber terrain components have viable recovery locations.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.

What to expect next

If you meet the minimum qualifications of this position, you may be presented with instructions on how to access the USA Hire Competency Based Assessments (CBA) system. These additional online assessments must be completed within 48 hours following the close of this announcement unless you have requested Reasonable Accommodation for the USA Hire CBA.

Your results will be kept on record for one year when applying for future jobs that require the same USA Hire CBA. NOTE: If the USA Hire CBA is altered within a year of your last application, you will be required to take the new USA Hire CBA.

If no additional online assessments are required you will receive an OPM notification stating "It has been determined that you have completed all required online assessments and your application is complete. No further action is required." Once you successfully complete the application process, you will receive a notification of receipt.

All DLA employees are required to refrain from illegal drug use on and off duty. DLA conducts pre-employment, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, and random drug testing. Applicants tentatively selected for employment in testing designated positions will undergo a urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment.

Refusal to undergo testing or testing positive for illegal drugs will result in withdrawal of the tentative job offer and a six-month denial of employment with DLA from the date of the drug test. Employees in drug testing designated positions are subject to random drug testing.

A negative drug test result must be received by HR within 30 calendar days after the EOD (i.e., start date). The selectee's inability successfully pass; or refusal to conduct the test may result in: 1) the tentative or FJO being withdrawn during the recruitment process; or 2) subsequently being removed from Federal service for failure to meet a condition of employment.

You may be required to sign a "Drug Test Statement of Understanding" if you are selected for this position. The DLA drug testing panel tests for the following substances: marijuana, cocaine, opiates, heroin, phencyclidine, amphetamines, methamphetamines, fentanyl, norfentanyl, methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), methylenedioxyamphetamine (MDA), and opioids.
