Main duties

  • Serves as the Director, Operating Base – Gordon, 202nd Military Intelligence Battalion, 513th Military Intelligence Brigade (Theater) (MIB (T)).
  • Serves as the Subject Matter Expert and advisor to the command for HUMINT policy, doctrine, and strategy, ensuring HUMINT activities are conducted IAW established statues, DoD Directives, US Army and theater Regulations, policies and US law.
  • Provide direct oversight to the expenditure of all operational resources and annual budget, and ensure all activity is executed in a fiscally responsible manner.
  • Evaluates employee performance, sets performance standards and provides employees counseling required and recommends awards or disciplinary action for employee performance.

About the role

About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W1U301 US ARMY INTELLIGENCE AND SECURITY CMD.

This is a Military Intelligence Civilian Excepted Career Program (MICECP) position located at Fort Gordon, Georgia.

What you will do

  • Serves as the Director, Operating Base – Gordon, 202nd Military Intelligence Battalion, 513th Military Intelligence Brigade (Theater) (MIB (T)).
  • Serves as the Subject Matter Expert and advisor to the command for HUMINT policy, doctrine, and strategy, ensuring HUMINT activities are conducted IAW established statues, DoD Directives, US Army and theater Regulations, policies and US law.
  • Provide direct oversight to the expenditure of all operational resources and annual budget, and ensure all activity is executed in a fiscally responsible manner.
  • Evaluates employee performance, sets performance standards and provides employees counseling required and recommends awards or disciplinary action for employee performance.
  • Reviews operations, evaluates program effectiveness by review of reports, and discussion with subordinates.

Direct Deposit of Pay is required. All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.

Incumbent (or Selectee) is required to satisfactorily complete the appropriate training and obtain the required certification/recertification for this position as outlined in DoD Publication 8570.01-M Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program, dated 19 December 2005 (incorporating Change 1, 15 May 2008).

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
