About the role

This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation, Policy and Programs Group (PPG).

As a Supervisory Health Insurance Specialist (Deputy Group Director), GS-0107-15, serve as full deputy and Alter Ego to the Group Director, PPG, and as such, shares fully in the management of all phases of the work of the Group.

What you will do

• Preparing short, intermediate and long-range plans for the improvement of CMMI policies and operations for meeting the cross-cutting needs of CMMI models.
• Providing administrative and technical supervision by assigning work, evaluating performance, determining training needs, selecting staff, resolving employee concerns, ensuring quality management, and advancing equal employment opportunity.
• Coordinating communications and stakeholder engagement activities for the Center.
• Establishing and maintaining strong partnerships with external entities and key CMS and HHS components to support these activities.
• Responsible for securing, organizing, directing, coordinating, and controlling the resources required to assure the timely, accurate, and cost-effective accomplishment of the Group's functional responsibilities.
