About the Position: The Supervisory Firefighter (Basic Life Support/Hazardous Materials Technician) directs day-to-day operations, planning and organizing firefighter operations to include technical and administrative supervision of the firefighter forces.

What you will do

• Direct the day-to-day operations of firefighting crews providing fire suppression, technical rescue, hazardous material and emergency medical response.
• Control operations at the site of any hazardous material spill or incident involving hazardous material.
• Run comprehensive fire prevention training, safety, and hazardous material handling programs by planning, implementing, reviewing, and evaluating activities.
• Evaluate performance of subordinate personnel.

• DoD Certificates and NREMT License: You MUST submit a copy of the following: Fire Officer III, Fire Instructor II, Fire Inspector II, HAZMAT Incident Commander certified through DoD Fire and Emergency Services Certification System, International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC), or the Fire Service Professional Qualifications System (PRO-Board) AND a State or National Registry EMT License .
