Position Overview: The Social Worker – Alternative to Detention provides direct clinical services to youth aged 13 to 20 with court-involvement. The SW-ATD conducts short-term counseling interventions to address participants’ developmental, behavioral, and social needs. The SW-ATD also helps youth understand their charges, the impact of their actions, and ways to avoid further involvement in the juvenile justice-system.
